Jackpot Team Cattle Sorting
For information on other locations that host team sorting, please call Turkey Creek at 813-737-1312. Sorting consists of a team of three riders on horses trying to move cattle across a line in a certain order. Time starts when the first member of the team crosses the line and the number of their first calf is called. One team member goes into the herd of 10 calves (each calf is wearing a number from 0 - 9) and sorts out the specific calf number called. Once that calf is across the line, then they sort out the next highest number, then the next, etc. until their time is out (90 seconds). If any calf goes over the line out of sequence, the team is disqualified. The top prize goes to the team who got the most calves over the line - in order. |
